What is NeoGraft®?
NeoGraft® is the first FDA-approved hair restoration treatment that utilizes the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method. This procedure is usually preferred over traditional hair restoration treatments because of how minimally invasive it is and how quickly patients recover from it. In just a matter of months, the procedure can bring patients extensive hair restoration results.
How Does NeoGraft® Work?
Before a NeoGraft® Hair Transplant treatment begins, the back of the scalp is thoroughly anesthetized to ensure that patients are comfortable. Once the scalp has been adequately numbed, patients are instructed to lie face down. Groups of between one and four hairs are then carefully removed from the donor site.

Strip Grafting
Strip grafting is a better hair restoration option for patients with more severe cases of hair loss. During a surgical strip grafting procedure, a strip of hair follicles is moved from one part of the body to the area that balding is occurring on the scalp. This strip contains a significantly higher concentration of hair follicles than those transplanted during a NeoGraft® procedure. Because this is a surgical procedure, it’s typically more uncomfortable to undergo than a NeoGraft® treatment. This technique also usually leaves a thin scar on the back of the head, but this is easily concealed by the hair. Following treatment, patients usually experience a fair degree of swelling. This can usually be managed with pain medications that can be prescribed by Dr. Nir.
