Twelve months after surgery, you're looking at the result of a facelift with submental lipectomy and platysmaplasty, combined with fat transfer and Erbium laser resurfacing in a 72-year-old woman. The facelift addressed the face and neck together; submental lipectomy removed excess fat beneath the chin, while platysmaplasty tightened the underlying neck muscle. Fat harvested from the abdomen was then transferred to the face to restore volume where it had been lost. Erbium laser resurfacing was applied to the peri-ocular and peri-oral zones specifically, targeting skin texture in those areas rather than the full face. The after photo, taken at the one-year mark, shows the lateral face and neck with the neck contour visibly defined and the jawline cleaner in profile.
